It's Peace Week here at BGC. This week focuses on Peace and special leaders who worked hard to make sure their communities had peace. One of these leaders was Martin Luther King Jr. Here is Kid President to tell his story.
Here Kid President is again to talk a little bit more about Martin Luther King Jr. and the dream he had.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream was to live in a world of peace. What is peace?
Peace can mean different things to different people. Peace can mean getting along or being nice to everyone. It can mean not being violent or mean. It can mean working together.
What does peace mean to you?
Now take the Peace Pledge and promise to try and bring peace to your own life.
Kids for Peace Pledge
I pledge to use my words to speak in a kind way.
I pledge to help others as I go throughout my day.
I pledge to care for our Earth with my healing heart and hands.
I pledge to respect people in each and every land.
I pledge to join together as we unite the big and small.
I pledge to do my part to create peace for one and all.
Think about how you can make small changes in your life to be more peaceful.
