Outdoor Wisconsin Week

The warmer weather is slowly coming to Wisconsin. Spring is a great time to get outside and active. Wisconsin has lots of outdoor fun to offer all year round, lets check out some of the great things our state has to offer in the great outdoors during Spring and Summer.

Morel Mushroom Hunting

Morel mushrooms can be collected for a short time in the Spring. These unique mushrooms can be hard to find, but when you do- they are a true delight!

Watch a morel mushroom hunt- always remember, not all things in nature can be eaten so make sure to ask an adult before you snack on a wild food!

Camping, Hiking, Canoeing, Biking and PRAIRIES!

The summer is a great time to get active outside. There is a variety of things kids can do throughout Wisconsin during the summer. Camp in a STATE CAMPGROUND, hike the ICE AGE TRAIL, canoe a river in Jefferson County, go for a bike ride on the GLACIAL DRUMLIN trail and watch the Native Wisconsin prairies bloom.

Build a Prairie and other prairie games.
