As the Director of Operations of the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Atkinson, I have been assigned numerous roles and responsibilities. Ensuring the success of our Club is a primary responsibility. Providing a positive Club experience is more than a job, it is doing what I believe is extremely important and that has become a part of who I am. Reflecting on the days that pass, the Club members that come at 3pm and leave at 6pm, the Club staff members that dedicate their time and talents to our Club before, during and after Club hours, the Club families that look forward to hearing about their Club member’s afternoon at the Club, the community members that support the Club in a variety of ways, I find myself needing to share with all who read these entries our successes and experiences. There are many, so many that I need to start at the beginning.
The Boys & Girls Club of Fort Atkinson exists. We can be found in the four Fort Atkinson public Elementary Schools. We live and thrive in our Fort Atkinson community. We continue to provide services for Club members and Club families who need us most. If you are not familiar with the history of our Club, visit our web page and read about our history. I am proud to say that I am part of an organization with a genuine and profound history. The fact that we exist is a success. The reasons why we can be found in the four Fort Atkinson public Elementary Schools, why we live and thrive in our Fort Atkinson community and why we continue to provide services for Club members and Club families who need us most have shaped our history. Our commitment to providing positive Club experiences extends the dedication of those who helped us to exist and become the Boys & Girls Club of Fort Atkinson. We have a past, we have a present, and we will have a GREAT future. I encourage you to enjoy our Facebook page, our web page and our Instagram page, join us for special events, contact us to volunteer, review our wish list and donate a gift to our Club sites, or contact us to hear about our Club.
I look forward to sharing our successes and positive Club experiences with you in my future blog entries. I will share with you A Day at the Club. As you begin or continue your journey with me and with our Club, you will quickly realize we do more than just exist…
